It was last night, I was on my way home.
I got off tube at Manorhouse station, went up stairs to the road.
When I was at the middle of stairs, I heard a muffled thump then a lady who was standing at the top of the stairs shook her head and screamd!
At first, I didn't realise what happend...really
Then reached at the top of the stairs, I saw a man stumbling on the road supported by a passenger, and a car just stopped at the edge of the road. That car's front glass was cracked...it looked like a spider web.
Oh my god...he was hit by a car!
Actually, no blood, no broken glasses, that means tha car was not its top speed, probably just turned the corner and hit the man.
After about three minutes, a police car turned up, then ambulance came after 6,7 minutes. It was quite impressive.
I don't know after that because I got on a bus to home. Hope he is ok..
These days, it sounds quite common greetings..
After I met lots of people at university, I found some of them were asking this; '"are you on facebook?"
Apparently this has started before exchanging e-mail address each other. This is so interesting, isn't it? Of course I am, and I have already added classmates and been added by them.
When did it start?
Well, since I stopped to update here, lots of things happened.
After I finished Pre-Masters course in Cambridge, I went back to Japan and stayed at my parents' house for a while.
During that time, I went to see dentist, walked the dog, drunk a lot of beer, and so on.
Now, I am a postgraduate student at UCL, living in East London.
My course started this Monday, I need to register modules by 5th of October.
Also, I went to the freshers faire on Thursday, then got a mug, 2 cotton bags, pens...then joined some societies such as Photography, Snow sports, and Japan :)
Currently I am writing a diary on Mixi, which is Japanese Social Network Service, and limited to members of it.
But I will sometimes translate them into English and place here, so you can get in touch with me.
I hope everyone is happy about this.
It's time to go to kitchen, today is my landlady's birthday and she has a party tonight. She invited 12 friends and all house mates are also invited.
See you soon, please encourage me to update here more often :D
My old computer has crashed.
Actually, not crashed, I suspect it will be some problems on HDD or memory units. But if memory broke, computer won't boot...so I guess some parts of HDD cluster died.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other computers to check that HDD, even a boot FD I don't have... :(
I tried Windows safe-mode-boot but it didn't work at all.
After logged in Windows, whilst loading some applications, at this point, HDD light keeps on then reboot or blue back comes up.
Please let me do 'chkdsk /f' !!!!
Well, better to make boot FD with chkdsk.exe.
Oh no, I don't have any FD...thrown all off last summer...orz
What an awful picture, that banana bread....orz
I totally forgot how to use a buit-in camera of my Japanese mobile phone.
Use MACRO !!!!
I baked 2 loaves of banana bread last night. It has been already bitten by my sirter though, haha.
I am going to leave Cambridge tomorrow, 13.00 flight.
Today, I went out with some friends in school, had a lunch, took a walk and enjoyed my last day.
Although the guard man of Regal was so irritating, we had very good time.
Bye bye Cambridge, bye bye The UK for a while
I am going back to Japan on 18th June, and looking for places to stay.
If anyone has a spare room, please please let me stay for a while!
Such a beautiful sunny day, why am I staying at home? No way, let's go to explore Cambridge.
My walking started from Kings Hedges.
I found a dinosaur!
River Cam from Jesus Green.
Compare to thursday afternoon, there was a long queue for the beer festival on firday's night. So we gave up to wait and changed to another pub.
Today, I had 2 exams. EAP and Psychology.
Psychology was...well, I hope it was OK.
Anyway, finished all exams. Yay!!
Only I need to do is to submit 2 reports by Wednesday. Actually I haven't started yet though...
Also, I received IELTS score today which I took on the 5th of May.
This may be the last short trip with classmates.
We went to Bury St Edmunds, 40-50mins from Cambridge by train.
Actually I didn't do any research of there, so followed friends.
It is small(but not too small) town, and has beautiful AbbeyGarden and Cathedral.
It's been raining since the afternoon.
Weather forecast of Cambridge shows light showers everyday.
We believe that Cambridge feels sad because we are leaving in 2 weeks.
Yes...we are leaving.
Tomorrow afternoon, we have a graduate ceremony and receive certificates.
Please don't rain on our graduation.
After graduation, I mean next week, we have final exams.
It is quite funny, isn't it? Graduate then take exams, mmm.
Sawston is lovely small village where I lived at first in Cambridge.
6 miles to Cambridge and 48miles to London.
I visited my first host family last weekend. They are always kind, caring and joyful. Before I visit them, just dropped by Soul Plaza, and I found 'Sauce Yakisoba(nama men)' -- Fried noodle (not dried!) Then I bought it, cooked 'Zarusoba', 'Sauce Yakisoba' and 'Niku Jaga' for them.
They really liked sauce yakisoba :D
We exchanged our addresses and told each other to keep in touch.
CAMRA Cambridge Beer Festival
It is held during the last week of my course.
I should go there !!!
I am really stupid because I totally forgot to introduce this
Well, I have never been there though, heard that it is very beautiful and good place for walk and barbeque!
Also, some of you might imagine this,
Yes. Pink Floyd is the band from Cambridge.
Went to Ely today with friends. It's "Ely Eel Day"
Ely is small town but seems nicer than Cambridge.
There was a parade at noon, from Ely Cathedral to the park near river.
And in the park, it was like a small market, we bought some beer, smoked eel(very nice!) and ice cream! :D
Also, we walked around town and along the river, sat on the ground and enjoyed our time.

British giant retailer Tesco launched its first store(Tesco Express) in Japan, yesterday.
I am really surprised because this store is a part of discount supermarket chain Tsurukame. Although I have never visited those supermarkets, I remembered one of my friends mentioned Tsurukame previously.
Anyway, are they selling Tesco original products in that Tesco express?
Let's walk on the wall...I remembered Chester.
Holy Trinity Church..this is a pretty lovely church near York Minster
Headding to York Minster!
a glass of lentil
1. wash and put lentil in a pan, then pour water - wait for 10 minutes
2. put sliced onion and salt together
3. start to boil...if you want thick lentil you don't need to add lots of water, if you prefer smoothy put more water. it will take 30-40 minutes.
4. warm another pan, then put some oil and sliced garlic - stop to fry before they go brown!
5. put those garlic and oil into lentil's pan
6. If you like, put some vegetables, chicken, or chopped coriander leaves
I went to Glasgow, that was very near Edinburgh, less than 50 minutes by train.
This photo was taken at Kelvingrove museum. I was really interested in these head things :)
It's Spring...everything changes.
I wanted to apply IELTS exam again, so went to the university. And I found they no longer accept direct application and payment. We need to fill an application in, then post it. Very very inconvenient!
After that I needed to take some passport size photo, then went to Tesco.
And also got some ring binders and stationary. Then problem was, they said my credit card was not valid. Impossible! I used it at another shop before I came to Tesco. Shit! I hate Tesco now. Cheap price is still attractive though.
I am going to go to Edinburgh again this weekend!
That will be nice, because it is spring now.
